Agribirrificio Sguaraunda

Agribirrificio Sguaraunda

Description

Agribirrificio Sguaraunda is located in Pagazzano, in the Bergamo plain, a stone’s throw from the beautiful medieval castle. It was the first brewery opened in the province of Bergamo and one of the first in Italy: for 15 years, the guys at Agribirrificio have cultivated barley on their 6 hectares of land, but above all they cultivate and nurture a passion for beer.

The Sguaraunda beer is a traditional German/Belgium style beer, therefore not particularly bitter, but very pleasant and drinkable. Obviously unpasteurised and unfiltered.

There are currently 12 different labels in production. In addition to the more classic Pale Ale, Red Ale, Amber Ale, Weiss and Double Malt Pale Ale there is the Smoked Black, the Organic and other gems likes the “Murator” which mixes the bitterness of chestnut honey and the sweetness of barley malt or the “Pagazzano Beer”, inspired by the old Viennese-style beers of the past.

Where to find Sguaraunda brand beers

Adhering to Coldiretti's friendly campaign circuit, Agribirrificio will exhibit and sell its products - from March 4th 2018 - every first Sunday of the month in Upper Bergamo, in Piazza Mascheroni.

The "Sguaraunda" beers can also be found in many bars and restaurants throughout the province of Bergamo and in other Lombard provinces. You can also buy directly from the brewery and online from the website birrificiosguaraunda.it.

Not just beer

The Agribirrificio has started the recovery project of the brewer’s grains, ie. residues of malt processing. From the recovery of the brewer’s grains come the bread and crackers made with the residue, natural and delicious, and obviously km0.
