Description

The Serio River’s lower course is surrounded by a park of more than 7000 hectares which houses, in addition to some nature reserves, important architectural beauties. Nature and culture together, ready to be discovered.

Nature reserve since 1973 and regional park since 1985, it embraces different natural environments, including agricultural areas, wetlands, meadows and small woods as well as numerous springs. Within it there are buildings of great architectural interest, such as the places of interest related to Colleoni, including the castles where he lived in Urgnano, Malpaga, Cavernago and Romano di Lombardia.

Also in Romano, visit the botanical garden to discover the Park’s biodiversity, with old and rare fruit trees that today can only be found here.
