Walk through Parco dei Colli

Description

Starting on foot from the city, you can easily reach one of the paths going into the heart of Parco dei Colli.

Starting point:

To reach the beginning of the path, take  bus number 6 from Porta nuova (direction S.Colombano) and stop in Monterosso. Here, take Quintino Basso street, on the left of the church, keep going toward Quintino Alto and you’ll find the beginning of  path number 533 on the right side of the road.

An easy and pleasant itinerary will lead you, through mule tracks and rivers, to Colle della Maresana, a very popular place for people from Bergamo on a sunny Sunday. Here, you’ll be able to stop for a nice pic-nic in the special area while exploring the nature around.

Canto Basso

Se avete ancora energia, proseguite la passeggiata lungo il sentiero 533, costeggiando il Monte Solino e il Monte Luvrida sino alla Forcella del Sorriso (759 m); giungerete dapprima al Canto Basso, ridente spiazzo erboso dove rilassarsi al sole.

Canto Alto

Then, take path number 301 on your left, to arrive at Canto Alto Alto (1.146 m - 2 hours and a half in total), the last mountain that divides Val Seriana from Val Brembana. This place offers a breathtaking view and you can see Resegone and Monte Rosa, from the valley to the Apennines.
