Many centuries ago, “Gastaldo” or “Castaldo”, territorial Longobard administrator, reorganized the Treviglio water network with new irrigation channels and springs. One of these channels still bears his name: the “Roggia Castolda”. We wanted to underline the connection our land has with ancient history by choosing the name of our farm: Castolda.
