In English “Ol Formagèr” means “the cheese-maker” or “the cheese-seller”. Giulio Signorelli perfectly embodies this kind of professional, which is slowly disappearing.

Pushed by his enthusiasm and his sense of initiative, when he was young
he started to learn as much as he could about his father’s and his grandfather’s work, the cheese-seller. He managed to open his shop in 1969 and he kept increasing his knowledge over the time, constantly looking for the pest products and eventually becoming one of the major experts of this field, as well as Cheese Tasting Master in Italy. 

What can you purchase at Ol Formagèr? Cheeses, of course: over 130 types, almost exclusively from Italy, but also other products such as Colonnata lard, raw and cooked hams, salamis, candied fruits in mustard syrup, honeys…
