Chiari Formaggi, since 1934

Chiari Formaggi, since 1934

Description

A neat and beautiful shop, creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Attention to every detail is the main feature of this historic shop in Bergamo, which has been selling high quality cheese and hams for years, in addition to other gastronomic delicacies.
The shop was created by the passion for Parmigiano Reggiano cheese of Emilio Chiari, who used to travel across northern Italy by bike selling the cheese from his hometown, Parma. He eventually met Dina in Bergamo and married her: they opened a shop in 1946 aiming to always sell delicious and top quality products.

Today, the second and third generation of the family runs the business, also offering several international gastronomic items, such as Spanish Patanegra ham, American lobster, Scottish salmon.
