Valtorta dairy cooperative

Description

Valtorta dairy cooperative was established in 1954 thanks to the collaboration among the local farmers, who decided to preserve their traditions creating this social dairy. Here the milk from the so-called “Terre Alta – High Lands” is collected, processed and transformed into the delicious cheeses of the upper Brembana Valley.

What do the cheese makers produce?

Agrì di Valtorta, a small size cheese processed manually and ready after only one-week ripening. Fiurì cheese is prepared with whey and results from the processing of ricotta. Formagella, soft and delicate cheese, Formai de Mut dell’Alta Valle Brembana DOP, the mountain cheese by definition. Last but not least, Stracchino all’Antica delle Valli Orobiche is another delicious cheese you can find here.

Moreover, you can always find fresh ricotta and yoghurt.
