In 1965, after a landslide, an extraordinary fossil field was discovered, while in 1973 palaeontologists found the skeleton of an Eudimorphodon, the most ancient Pterosaurus ever, in perfect conditions: a flying reptile with a one-meter-wide wingspan, dating back to the Triassic. The Park is a protected area, but do not get fooled: it is meant to be enjoyed and not merely preserved. You can walk the naturalistic trail or simulate a paleontological excavation in an equipped area, as if you were Indiana Jones!
