Agriturismo Ferdy was founded twenty-five years ago. Ferdinando Quarteroni, the founder, gave life to the business with only one horse and a small plot of land in the municipality of Lenna, on the banks of the Brembo river. Since then Ferdy has never stopped working to improve the farm, to create something unique in the Brembana Valley: a farm that is also a restaurant, horse-riding school, educational farm, spa and much more.
The farm’s philosophy is based on the breeding of animals that have always lived in the territory and that have become a precious resource, allowing them to offer different tastes and longstanding flavours. The restaurant, in fact, offers its guests its natural cuisine based on the use of its own products, thus enhancing the historical flavors of the meats, cheeses and cured meats made from Orobic goats and Bruna Alpina cows, and from the spontaneous herbs collected throughout the territory in the name of “poor” cuisine. Cured meats, cheeses, preserves and the delicious bitter liqueur “Amaro del Ferdy” can then be purchased at the farm shop.
Ferdy and his family do not only run the restaurant and the farm, they also manage many other activities. In fact, at Ferdy it’s possible to stay in ten beautiful apartments equipped with the most modern comforts, with exclusive access to the wellness spa, Il Borgo del Benessere. Here at the spa they use Agriturismo Ferdy’s products such as essential oils, produced in Val d'Inferno (mountain pasture located at 1500m altitude), for relaxing or rejuvenating baths, massages and aromas for the farmer's bio-sauna and beauty baths with Orobic goat and Bruna Alpine cow milk and serum. Even the excellent cosmetic products from the Montagna Pura range can be purchased from the farm shop.
Finally, there are so many things to do at Ferdy, either with the family but also as a couple or with friends. Throughout the year, guests can participate in farm life in the barn, helping with the tasks of milking and caring for the animals, experience the thrill of riding a horse for both beginners and experts, take part in educational activities on the farm, discover the Brembana valley along the bike path and the joy of Val d'Inferno’s mountain pasture.
