African Art and Culture Museum “Villaggio Africano – African Village”

African Art and Culture Museum “Villaggio Africano – African Village”

Description

The museum dedicated to sub-Saharan culture is located inside an old convent built by the great war leader from Bergamo in XV Century.

Dominican friars were replaced by Passionists in 1920, who created the Museum back in 1984, whose proceeds are donated to their missions in Kenya and Tanzania.

It is an interactive museum: you can observe as well as manipulate, participate to workshops and animations, following a digital guide on tablet or smartphone. You will turn into a real African and you will have the chance to experience the life in an actual village!
