Casa dell'Arciprete

Casa dell'Arciprete

Description

The name of this building, commissioned by the jurist Ghislandi in the late fifteenth century and a fine example of a Renaissance dwelling, can be explained by the fact that in 1840 it was inherited by the cathedral's archpriests (or arcipreti).

Featuring elaborate decorations on the windows, including the one on the ground floor with a false perspective. The unique, multicolored marble pieces testify to the influence of Venetian architectural trends.
