La Torretta

La Torretta

Description

It’s called Torri and it’s a restaurant worthy of an Oscar. This is for various reasons: For the quality of the pizza first of all, which comes from a well-risen dough that is spread wide and thin before being cooked, a rule of the art, and finally topped with carefully selected ingredients starting with tomato and mozzarella and to finish, Pata Negra de "bellota". Here, we end a chapter but immediately begin another. That of a kitchen that, by applying the same basic principles, offers high-quality meat dishes (the meat from the Slow Food Presidium de La Granda) and seafood dishes (fish that is perfect both raw, naturally after killing, and in the more classic dishes, such as by frying or in soup). Completing the menu are the first courses of homemade “natural” fresh pasta or stuffed pasta and the slow cooking of meat: from pork cheek with polenta to beef with oil and mashed potatoes and then there’s also the Pata Negra with Tropea onions and spinach. Finished here? No, there is a wine list that deserves to be mentioned especially regarding the Champagne collection, even very high quality, permanently on the list to make the most prestigious restaurants envious.
