On the occasion of the Capital of Culture 2023, one of the Japanese artist's most iconic Infinity Mirror Rooms, which has captured the imagination of the entire world, arrives in Bergamo, as attested by the prestigious magazine The Art Newspaper. The installation comes from overseas and is part of the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
During the visit you can discover the artist's research through the poems, films and documentation of the introductory tour, and then literally enter the work. Fireflies on the water, in fact, is a room of mirrors, water and lights, a space unto itself between reflection and bewilderment, where space appears infinite.
