"La Casa di Pat" is an entire apartment with 4 beds suitable for everyone, individuals and families as well as being a space dedicated to people with disabilities. It is also suitable for those with motor disabilities as it is easy to access thanks to the positioning of the access ramp and the extra-large stair-lift (with 78cm by 78cm platform and supporting a weight of 250kg, also suitable for electric wheelchairs).

There are parking spaces for people with disabilities 30 metres from the entrance gate, it is possible to enter the condominium courtyard by car but without a space reserved for the house.

In the area adjacent to the house there are the following services: bakery with various groceries, butcher, greengrocer, take-away pizzeria, pharmacy, hairdresser for both men and women, stationery shop, newsagent, tobacconist, restaurant, bar, Italian Post Office with ATM; there are also major Italian and foreign chain supermarkets in the surrounding areas.

Its strategic position and the presence, on site, of the Line 6 bus stop allows you to reach the centre in a short time, moreover a few hundred meters from the house, in the Stadium area, there is the Line 3 bus stop which leads directly to the Upper Town.

Nearby there are large well-equipped children's parks and a cycle/pedestrian path, the Green Way, which leads to the green and protected areas of Bergamo’s Parco dei Colli.

Furthermore, within an hour's drive, you can reach the ski slopes of the Brembana and Seriana Valleys, as well as Lake Endine, Lake Iseo, Lake Como and Lake Garda. Access to the nearby motorway allows you to easily reach Milan and Brescia and then head towards more distant and interesting destinations.

There is a convenient entrance, a kitchen with all the necessary cooking equipment (equipped with fridge/freezer, stove and electric oven, microwave oven, coffee machine with pods and classic moka, hand blender, juicer and kettle); then there is a large room with TV, electric chair for lifting people, double sofa bed and a large terrace (overlooking the internal garden) where there are chairs with a table where you can have lunch and a nice smoking corner.

The bedroom is also spacious: there is a double bed with bedside tables, 8-door wardrobe and chest of drawers, the bedroom also has a large terrace overlooking the internal garden.

Furthermore, the bathroom is fully accessible for people with motor disabilities: the shower area is completely open for direct access by wheelchair or shower chair; the toilet complies with disabilities with an adjoining bidet shower and the floor is non-slip.

"La Casa di Pat" is also equipped with other equipment such as: a walker, crutches and mobile trolleys for the positioning of machinery or medicines.

"La Casa di Pat" was created in memory of Patrizia who lived there for several years and was gradually adapted according to her motor needs and the desire to offer people with disabilities a space without architectural barriers. A place where you can spend days in a harmonious and serene environment in the company of your family or friends.

"La Casa di Pat" is initially seen as holiday accommodation as a base to visit Bergamo. It is however, also a place for a long-term stay when people find themselves having to remain in Bergamo for special treatments or to be closer to the area’s health facilities. It is also a place where people with disabilities can try "to live alone" almost like a test gym to understand how possible it is for them to try their hand at a daily routine or to evaluate which are the most useful and suitable aids for their own disability.

"La Casa di Pat" is open to associations, organisations, municipal or regional projects and also to families who want to find a space for their children to share.
