Holidays in the Young Bergamo
Entertainment, music and culture not far from Expo

Have fun in the perfect City for art, music, entertainment and friends from around the world. Accessible by low-cost airlines from across Europe, Bergamo offers culture, sports and nature whether it is for a holiday or just passing by on Interrail

Bergamo is a marvel of art and culture, but that is not all. Bergamo is also a city of fun, entertainment and music for young people, only ten minutes by bus from the international airport of Orio al Serio or 50 minutes by train from Milan and the Expo. With a cheap flight you can get to Bergamo in just two or three hours from just about every corner of Europe. It is easy to find a place in one of the hostels of the city, hotels, in one of the many bed and breakfasts or on the sofa of the many couchsurfers from the area.

In summer, the green spaces on the walls of the city on the hill turn into outdoor summer venues, including DJ sets, aperitifs, acoustic concerts, theaters and markets. In addition to the club and bar scene of Via Borgo Santa Caterina, the central downtown area with white nights, events and Piazza Pontida, is the late afternoon favorite among the lovers of the aperitif, after an afternoon of shopping.
While the City offers a program packed full of events, including music, culture, and art shows throughout the summer, throughout the city and province the network BERGAMO SUONA BENE (Bergamo Sounds Good) has planned over 90 evenings of live music with free admission, including rock, indie, reggae, rap, metal and punk. Numerous associations promote meetings and events for young people with all different backgrounds, with events ranging from aperitifs to international films in their original language. Even the University of Bergamo, highly recognized internationally, welcomes young people from all over the world, organizes language courses for foreigners, summer workshops and its core it is a vibrant university where young people meet off-campus, Erasmus and exchange students from China, America and Australia.
For young people Bergamo also represents sport and entertainment, with the “Spazio Polaresco” (community leisure and sports center), whose skate park is home to the second largest separator in Europe, the BMX track a few hundred meters away and other numerous sports facilities, in addition to lakes Endine, where rent both motorized and pedal boats and Lake Iseo where you can go kite surfing, wakeboarding, water skiing and sailing.
