It's true, skiing has its charm. Downhill skiing is at home in the Bergamo valleys, with slopes of all levels between Foppolo, Presolana, and Colere, some of the most well-known destinations in the entire region.
To snowboard enthusiasts, Bergamo offers snow parks designed by champions, while for cross-country skiing lovers there are must-try tracks like the beautiful "Pista degli Abeti" in Schilpario.
There are also numerous trails to explore with snowshoes, a perfect combination of the well-being of physical activity for all ages and a complete immersion in nature, even at night.
After so much sport, when shadows lengthen on the snow, it's time for après-ski, a fun break in one of the local spots.
And to enjoy all aspects of the Orobie, there is a world of flavors to discover at local restaurants and shelters!
A journey through our mountains means touring the Cheese Valleys and its 9 PDO cheeses, among producers and dairies ready to delight you.
On the road of exploration, you will also encounter historical gems without equal: the medieval villages of Gromo and Camerata Cornello (where the modern postal service was born) and the more modern San Pellegrino, made unique by the Liberty style of the Belle Époque.
Finally, treat yourself with a massage or a sauna in one of the hotel spas, if this is your style, you must go to San Pellegrino and Sant’Omobono wellness centres.
