In the occasion of Expo 2015 VisitBergamo gave away 20 wine and food hampers for 20 journeys throughout the flavors of Bergamo.

Suliss Rosso Igt Locatelli Caffi

Robust structure wine, obtained by Merlot (70%) and Franconia (30%) grapes: once its fermentation is over, it’s refined for 3 months in precious oak barrels. The Bergamo Suliss Red Igt produced by the Azienda Agricola Locatelli Caffi is an excellent table wine and it perfectly matches a lot f Bergamo’s typical dishes.

Bergamo Polenta Flour

Polenta flour made exclusively of “Belgrano” flint corn, whose medium-size grain ensures a final product above average.

Gourmand Casoncelli

Crescent-shaped fresh pasta (made of 00 soft wheat, hard wheat bran, water and eggs) filled with pork and bovine meat (in addiction of breadcrumbs, cheeses, flavourings and spices) create “casoncelli”: Bergamo’s best known and appreciated traditional dish, besides polenta.

Bergamo Salami

Bergamo salami is one of our rural culture’s most typical products. It’s made of pork meat noble cuts (leg, shoulder, coppa and fat obtained by the jowl or “pancettone”), seasoned with spices, stuffed and tied by hand. Its flavour is balanced, strong but never aggressive.

Wildflower honey by Martellini Beekeeping

This honey collected by bees in different flower varieties is featured by an amber brown shade and a delicate fragrance. Its quality (limited production) is guaranteed by the historical “Apicoltura Martinelli” from Scanzorosciate (Bergamo) and registered by Bergamo’s Chamber of Commerce.

Valle Seriana soft cheese

The Seriana Valley soft cheese has been renowned since 1200. It’s a semi-hard cheese traditionally prepared with raw milk from two milkings of grazing cows fed only with local grass and hay, then matured for at least 25 days.
