Two weekends to discover the wild mountain herbs and the typical cheeses of the Brembana Valley.

Amid nature, with flavours and traditions.

“Erbe del Casaro” is back for the tenth edition. An event dedicated to boosting the dairy culture and the typical gastronomic specialties of the territory, in a pristine landscape and in a genuine and natural environment.

Erbe del Casaro takes place in the Upper Brembo area, in the upper Brembana Valley.

Three main events:

"Quattro passi di gusto – Four flavoursome walks": walks combined with themed tastings

"Andar per erbe – Going for Herbs": an excursion led everyday by an expert who tells about mountain herbs

"The upper Brembana Valley and its cheese" (during the first weekend): the Formai de Mut, a typical cheese of the upper valley, will be the protagonist of workshops, tastings and a competition.

"The botanical garden in the Sawmill" (during the second weekend): a real botanical garden will be set up in the historic Pianetti Sawmill in Olmo al Brembo.

The restaurants participating in the initiative will offer menus based on wild herbs and cheeses from the Brembana Valley and the bars will promote “Casaro Aperitifs”
