Ezio Gritti, a self-taught chef from Bergamo, started off in the kitchen with great success. Everything began with l’Osteria in Via Solata in the Upper Town, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2005. In 2013 he departed for the island of Bali to start a new adventure, Solata Restaurant, but there was a strong calling from his origins, as he says:

“I had been captured by a childish nostalgia. I missed Bergamo, I missed its scents, its flavours... its mountains. And I knew perfectly well that I would be back! I knew it since I left for Bali. When I chose to return, I did not just want to return to Italy. I wanted to bring my name back to Bergamo - my city”.

Thus, began the activity of the new restaurant Ezio Gritti, together with a young team, passionate and strongly motivated. Here you will experience a unique taste with the chef’s best offerings, combinations that will thrill your palates. 


If you want a special experience, book the “Tavolo dello Chef – Chef’s Table”. You’ll be served directly from the kitchen staff, who will involve you even more in the restaurant’s cuisine, through a game of gastronomic complicity.
