Greppi Hall

Greppi Hall

Description

The history of this concert hall is related to the history of a man, Giuseppe Greppi, who gave it its name. Since the early XX Century the hall has been the seat of Teatro dell’Immacolata: in 1981 a local committee decided to renovate it and named it “Sala Greppi – Greppi Hall”.

This was meant to be a tribute to Giuseppe Greppi, who lived during the second half of XIX Century and worked for the Oratorio dell’Immacolata Oratory, dedicating his whole life to children, people in need and sick people. He was so devoted to this cause that he allocated all the proceeds of his business to charitable works, including the new and very modern (for that time) seat of Oratorio dell’Immacolata, in 1903.

Currently the Greppi Hall hosts numerous concerts throughout the year.
