Built on the structure of the old Malga Olone, the Rino Olmo mountain refuge is located at an altitude of 1819m on the southwest side of the Presolana.
Located in a grassy basin under the Olone Pass and the Pozzera Pass, Olmo can be easily reached from the town of Rusio on foot in 2 and a half hours. You can also start from the locality of Spinelli di Valzurio and reach the refuge after a 3-hour walk.
For two wheel fans, it is recommended to reach the refuge starting from Castione della Presolana.
Those who pass by this refuge aim to climb to the summit of the Presolana or to circumnavigate it: from here descend into Valzurio, then reach the Albani mountain refuge to face the Porta Pass via ferrata, and on the southern side climb the Pozzera Pass and the Agnelli Pass before returning to the Olmo Refuge.
The structure has about twenty beds and seats about seventy at the restaurant.
