MARIANNA

MARIANNA

Description

Right in front of it there is the infamous Adalberto Tower, which used to be known as “the hunger tower”:and there’s no better place than this to satisfy hunger, no doubt about it!
Right about the renowned bakery, which used to be called “Bettolina” during the Renaissance (1508-1780), there is the restaurant, offering a fantastic mix of Bergamo and Tuscan traditional dishes. The restaurant consists of wide halls and a lovely veranda overlooking the roof garden carefully looked after.

OUTSTANDING HISTORY – In 1953 Oriana and Enrico Panattoni, who already owned an ice-cream parlour in via Colleoni, purchased the dairy in Colle Aperto, next to Sant’Alessandro Gate. That’s how the café and ice-cream parlour was born, followed by the La Marianna Restaurant in 1961.

A UNIQUE PLACE – Its position, surrounded by the Venetian Walls on the Upper Town Hills and overlooking the “Colle Aperto”, aka the beautiful panoramic plaza in the heart of the old town, makes La Marianna a truly unique place.

UNMISTAKABLE FLAVOURS  - The refined and elegant halls of the Restaurant always host numerous exquisite dishes, carefully designed to enhance both the flavours and the presentation. Not to mention the delicious products from the bar and the ice-creams, including the world-famous “stracciatella” flavour, invented right here in 1961.
