The ancient furniture adds harmony to this prestigious setting, a XI Century building. You can chose between the two rooms overlooking the Square and the downstairs tavern, where you can admire the cellar that can also be visited upon request. During spring and summer, guests can also enjoy the lovely outdoor area in Piazza Vecchia, the most beautiful square of Bergamo, surrounded by history and charm.


Trattoria Sant’Ambroeus’s cuisine aims to add a modern touch to the most traditional dishes. First of all, the restaurant constantly tries to make its customers discover – or rediscover – Milan’s and Bergamo’s most classic dishes. Other preparations  -both with meat and fish  - are equally elaborated and creative. All the ingredients are carefully selected depending on daily availability and seasonality.
We are glad to meet everyone’s requests, from the tourist who wants to enjoy the local cuisine in an excellent but not too demanding way, to the most experienced gourmet. Our fresh pasta and pastries, both sweet and salty, are prepared at the restaurant every day.
We are always very attentive to the quality/price ratio, which is particularly appreciated for what concerns our Bergamo’s traditional menu. The dining room staff’s professionalism and expertise, especially with regards of the wine and spirits service, is the perfect complement to an unforgettable gastronomic stopover.
