From July 15th to July 19th, the Music for Emergency festival returns to Cenate, with its 11th edition. Organized to sustain the Italian Project of Emergency, the festival, as tradition, proposes an international lineup with groups ranging from rock and reggae to folk and metal, all with free entry.
The festival of music and solidarity will be held at the Stadium of Cenate Sotto, in Valcavallina, in a large concert area, where there will be a restaurant and brewery area with 1000 seats too. As every year, the profits will be donated to Emergency and other local projects.
Wednesday, July 15th, Cornoltis, a Bergamo group, with its crazy rock with ska and punk influences, will open the show for Punkreas, representatives of Italian punk. The band will perform on the XXV Paranoia Domestic Tour, celebrating 25 years of the stage.
On July 16th, Cenate will host the only Italian stop of the Jamaican, Horace Andy, famous roots reggae singer. His long career with some of the best producers of the genre is highlighted by the collaboration as vocalist with Massive Attack. The warm-up of the concert will be put on by Bergamo Reggae.
On Friday 17th and Saturday 18th, Music for Emergency will host a festival within a festival dedicated to metal music. On stage the first day will be the only Italian stop of the summer for Iron Savior, metal band from Hamburg, preceeded by the heavy metal band Domine and LionSoul of Bergamo. Saturday 18th will be the turn of a metal poker consisting of Ancillotti, In.si.dia, Nanowar, Anewrage, led by the Germans Gamma Ray.
Sunday, July 19th, will be entrusted to the Casa del Vento (House of the Wind), historical folk group from Arezzo, linked to social issues and they worthy group to close of the 2015 edition.
