Discover Bergamo moonlit  in the white night of art 11 July


The doors are open and the lights are on from 6 p.m. to the stroke of midnight on July 11th for the second White Night of Art, which will give citizens and visitors an opportunity to rediscover Bergamo at night , a city of art to experience at night with events, with open galleries and guided tours.

Symbols, alchemical mysteries and hidden messages are enclosed in Tarsie di Lorenzo Lotto, housed in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the heart of the Upper Town. In addition to the works of the Renaissance painter you can discover, thanks to the guided tours scheduled from 20 to 24, the other treasures of the church, including the fourteenth century fresco Tree of Life.

Going down via Pignolo in the Lower Town, as well as art galleries and the Accademia Carrara that will open, you will run into the GAMeC with the last night of the exhibition Lo sguardo della bellezza, an anthological project dedicated to Palma il Vecchio, which is open until July 12.

Moving from paintings to sculptures we come to the Credito Bergamasco, where at 6 pm the Alpha and Omega - Works of Ugo Riva opens.  It is an exhibition of the sculptor Anima Mundi, who created the great winged statue displayed in front of the Propylaea and a few meters down the road at Santa Maria delle Grazie there are scheduled guided tours of the church and its organ from 19.

Among rich calendar of there are two intriguing Art2Night events: a guided tour of Chiare, fresche e dolci acque  by the group guide City of Bergamo, who will perform on the traipse at 9.30 pm in the train station offering an opportunity to discover its fountains.

All of this plus the Laboratorio orizzontale, an experience in a sleeping bag with your nose turned up to the sky to see the world from another point of view, in the parco di Sant'Agostino (The even starts at 20, for reservations call 3298339042).
