Enjoy autumn in Bergamo!
With a really impressive program of events, Bergamo is set to be one of the most interesting destinations for the end of 2017!

From September 7th to 24th, Bergamo shows off its cool side. The seventh edition of “Maestri del Paesaggio – Landscape Masters” transforms Piazza Vecchia into a large igloo covered by balloons, designed by landscaper Lodewijk Balijon. Not just a fascinating installation and aesthetic impact but a cue to reflect on global warming.

Also in September, from the 14th to 17th, three days of European flavour thanks to “Mercatanti in Fiera”. Coming from all over the continent, these vendors will peacefully invade the centre of Bergamo to sell their typical products. Travel with them!

This year is BergamoScienza’s 15th birthday, the festival that makes science popular. From September 30th to October 15th, you can attend over 190 free events: conferences, workshops, exhibitions, shows and meetings with internationally renowned scientists.

At the same time as the G7 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting, from October 12th to 15th, don’t miss "Astino nel Gusto": an event where the most important Italian chefs will demonstrate their skills. Together with them, the best names of Italian food and wine showcase their formidable products. For gourmets!

The Donizetti Opera doubles: From November 22nd to December 4th, the Festival dedicated to the great Bergamasco composer returns to the city. A grand celebration in the days surrounding his birthday, November 29th, to honour him and continue listening to his music.

Do you want to be really cool? In September, go and see the huge iceberg in Piazza Vecchia, an installation by the “Maestri del Paesaggio - Landscape Masters”. But do it fast, it’ll melt soon!
Craving Europe? Stroll along Sentierone through handicrafts and culinary specialities at the 16th edition of the Mercatanti in Fiera!
Want to meet a Nobel prize winner? At Bergamo Scienza, you can! This year Renato Capecchi will attend, awarded the 2007 prize for Medicine.
Over 60 events and 90 protagonists including chefs, restaurateurs, producers, wineries and patisseries! This gourmand paradise has a name: "Astino nel gusto".
The Donizetti Opera will be on stage in the Upper Town for two weeks. Grand finale on December 4th, with a recital by opera star Juan Diego Flórez.
